A Nematek ambassador is someone who presents Nematek One products to the shops, pharmacies, schools and small businesses they know, then follows each potential customer through to a signed contract. Ambassadors are paid on commission only, with no base pay, and both the application and the training are free.

You probably know a beverage depot where the day’s sales still go into a notebook, a pharmacy that counts its boxes by hand, a school that matches Mobile Money receipts one at a time. You also know who to talk to in those places, and how to talk to them.

The same evening, a message lands in a WhatsApp group: “Become an ambassador, guaranteed earnings, registration fee to pay today.”

From a distance the two look alike: both talk about commission, customers and ambassadors. Up close, they are opposites. The first is real sales work, paid when a customer pays for a solution that helps them. The second is a scam that borrows its vocabulary.

This guide describes the first without dressing it up: what a Nematek ambassador does, how and when they are paid, and what nobody will promise you. It also shows you how to recognise the second.

What does a Nematek ambassador actually do?

The role is close to that of a business introducer, with one important difference: an ambassador does not stop at the introduction. They follow each potential customer from first contact to signed contract, and keep Nematek informed of how each one is going.

So this is not a link to share and forget. After the interview and the signed written agreement, Nematek gives each accepted ambassador a personal code, such as NMK‑7K2Q, and a short link, recorded in their name. A code someone makes up is not recognised and credits nobody. The code and link only record that the customer came through you. The work is what comes next: understanding the need, presenting the right solution, answering, following up and staying with the customer.

To report, each ambassador has a personal online space on Nematek’s portal. There they see only their own prospects, declare new ones and report on each one by message. That written follow-up is what counts.

The ambassador Nematek
Chooses the Nematek One product or products to represent Trains the ambassador on them, free of charge
Presents the solution that fits the customer’s trade Provides technical support when the customer asks something specific
Points the customer to a quote, never promising a price or a timeline Writes the quote: the price always comes from Nematek
Follows the customer to a signed contract and reports on it in their online space Deploys the solution set out in the contract
Receives the commission Pays it once the customer has paid, by Mobile Money or bank transfer

Why does recommendation matter so much in a digital world?

Business software now lives on servers: most Nematek customers run on the Nematek server, with no machine to host or maintain on their premises. But the decision to adopt a tool is still human. An owner hands their till, stock or payments to a solution someone they trust has explained to them.

Mobile Money is the clearest example. Behind the technology there is a network of people on every street corner who explain, reassure and help: in 2025 the GSMA counted 30 million registered agents worldwide, and sub-Saharan Africa accounted for about two thirds of the value transacted. And in a global Nielsen survey on trust in advertising, run in 2021 with 40,000 people, recommendations from people you know came top of every channel.

The ambassador is the last mile of digital transformation: the person who turns a Nematek solution into a tool that is actually used in a shop in Buea, a school in Yaoundé or a depot in Douala.

How does a deal work, from first contact to commission?

Every customer follows the same order, and the order does not change:

  1. You present and follow up. You present the product, follow the prospect from first contact to signature, and report on how it is going in your online space. When they ask something specific, Nematek provides the technical support.
  2. The customer signs a contract. The price is always the one in Nematek’s quote, never a price promised by the ambassador.
  3. Nematek deploys the solution. Our team puts in place the solution set out in the contract, following our implementation method.
  4. The customer pays. Your commission depends on this payment: a shared link or an introduction on its own is not enough.
  5. Nematek pays your commission. By Mobile Money, or by bank transfer if you have a bank account.

This order protects everyone. The customer pays the price in the quote they signed. Nematek pays a commission on a real sale. And you know when your work is paid: once the customer you followed through has paid.

How much does a Nematek ambassador make?

We do not publish a figure, and that is deliberate. The pay is commission only: there is no base pay. It is earned on the customers you followed through to signature, and paid once they have paid.

Amounts and conditions are set out at interview and confirmed in writing before any commitment.

What we can honestly say: what you receive depends on the customers who sign and pay, not on how many times you share a link.

What does an ambassador present, and to whom?

You choose the Nematek One product or products you want to represent, and you are trained free of charge on each: what the solution does and who it is for. Some common matches:

You know… You can present…
a shop, a supermarket, a wholesaler Nematek One Gestion Commerciale: checkout, stock, invoicing
a beverage depot Nematek One Dépôt, for depots and distribution
a pharmacy Nematek One Pharmacy: batches and expiry dates. Read: Pharmacy stock software: batches, expiry and FEFO
a business taking MTN MoMo and Orange Money Nematek One Mobile Money: payment reconciliation. Read: Reconciling MTN MoMo and Orange Money payments
a school or training centre Nematek One School, and the schools and training centres sector

The Nematek One catalogue presents each product. The commission is on these products only: Nematek also offers IT services, training and equipment, but its sales team handles them, and they earn no commission. The prices on the pricing page are guidance: the final price always comes from Nematek’s quote. Never promise a price or a timeline; point the person to a quote.

Demand is not the same from one city to the next:

  • In Douala, the city of commerce and the port: beverage depots, wholesalers, import-export, pharmacies and shops running volumes a notebook can no longer follow. That is where the Nematek office is.
  • In Yaoundé, a city of administration and services: schools, professional practices and NGOs, where records, SYSCOHADA accounting and access control matter more than the till. The engineer travels there to install and to train.
  • In Buea, an English-speaking city: shops, schools, restaurants and small health facilities, for which something simple and properly explained, in English, matters more than a complex deployment. The engineer travels there too.

Those are the three cities with the strongest demand, but applications from elsewhere in Cameroon are considered.

Ambassador, network marketing, pyramid scheme: how do you tell them apart?

This is not a theoretical question. In June 2026, Cameroon’s national gendarmerie presented thirteen suspects in Yaoundé accused of trapping hundreds of young people with false job promises, under the cover of network-marketing companies. A pyramid scheme, as the French financial-education site La finance pour tous explains, rests on recruiting members: the first are paid with the money of those who follow, and it all collapses when recruitment stops.

Five questions are enough to tell the difference:

  • Do you pay to join? At Nematek, no: the application and the training are free. Warning sign: a registration fee, a “starter kit”, paid training.
  • Where does the commission come from? From a customer who signed a contract and paid for a Nematek One product. Warning sign: money paid in by new recruits.
  • Do you have to buy stock? No: Nematek will never ask you for money. Warning sign: stock to buy, with no way to return it.
  • What are you promised? Nothing up front: amounts and conditions are set out at interview and confirmed in writing. Warning sign: guaranteed income, earnings “per day”.
  • What is being sold? The Nematek One software shown on the website, with public indicative prices. Warning sign: unknown products you cannot compare.

How do you recognise a fake offer in Nematek’s name?

Fake recruitment is common in Cameroon. In 2023, the National Employment Fund (FNE) had to deny issuing a fake recruitment notice for TotalEnergies; in this kind of scam, applicants are then asked to pay “recruitment fees”. These scams often run through WhatsApp groups and Mobile Money payments, as Ecomatin reported back in 2020. The basic rule, which reputable job sites repeat too: you never pay to apply.

An offer in Nematek’s name is fake if:

  • you are asked for money, whatever it is called: a file fee, a registration fee, a training fee or a “kit”. Nematek will never ask you for money;
  • you are promised a specific income before any interview;
  • the contact does not come through the official channels: for this programme, the number is +237 695 809 376 and the address ambassador@nemateksolutions.com. A Nematek email address always ends in @nemateksolutions.com, and the office is at Ndogpassi, opposite Picasso Café, in Douala;
  • you are rushed: “last places”, “pay before tonight”;
  • you are asked for your Mobile Money PIN, or to approve a withdrawal you did not request. That code is never shared with anyone.

If anyone asks you to pay in Nematek’s name, it is not Nematek: report it on +237 695 809 376 or to ambassador@nemateksolutions.com.

The same networks spread other scams too: hijacked WhatsApp accounts, fake Mobile Money agents, fake scholarships. Our guide to WhatsApp and Mobile Money scams gives the right reflex for each.

Who can become an ambassador?

No technical qualification is required. You need to explain clearly what problem a solution solves; for the rest, Nematek trains you free of charge on the product you choose and provides technical support when a customer asks something specific.

The programme fits alongside study, a job or independent work. Give your real availability rather than overstating it.

What helps an application:

  • the Nematek One products you chose, and why;
  • how you plan to present them and follow up your contacts: social media, in the field, your professional network, content;
  • your marketing or sales experience, if you have any;
  • past results, however modest, with numbers where possible.

We review every application and invite selected profiles to an interview. An application that is not selected this time stays on file for future needs.

Can it lead to a job at Nematek?

The best-performing ambassadors may be hired as Nematek employees, if they pass the interview and meet all the criteria. They then take a different marketing title, with base pay plus commission.

It is not a promise made to everyone; it is an open door for those who prove themselves. Nematek’s other roles are on the careers page.

How do you apply?

The application is free, and one honest paragraph beats a long dossier. Selected profiles are invited to an interview.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a way to make money online in Cameroon?

Not in the sense most adverts mean. You can present the solutions on WhatsApp, on social media or in the field, but the work is to follow real customers through to a signed contract. The commission comes from a customer’s payment, never from clicks or videos watched.

Do I have to pay or invest anything to start?

No. The application is free, the training on the product you choose is free, and Nematek will never ask you for money. If anyone asks you to pay in Nematek’s name, it is not Nematek: report it on +237 695 809 376 or to ambassador@nemateksolutions.com.

Is this network marketing?

No. Your commission is on the customers you followed through to a signed contract with Nematek for a Nematek One product, and it is paid only after they have paid. You buy no product and no stock, and you pay no joining fee.

How do I follow up my customers and report on them?

In your personal online space on Nematek’s portal. You see only your own prospects; you declare new ones there and report on each one by message. That written follow-up is what counts. Your code is issued by Nematek after the interview and the signed agreement: a code you make up is not recognised.

What happens if the customer does not pay?

The commission depends on the customer’s payment. The order is always the same: the customer signs their contract, Nematek deploys the solution, the customer pays, then Nematek pays your commission. Until the customer has paid, there is no commission.

Can I present more than one product?

Yes. You choose the Nematek One products you want to represent, and you are trained free of charge on each; the commission is on these products only. Knowing two solutions well beats presenting ten badly.

I am a student or I have a job: can I apply?

Yes. The programme fits alongside study, a job or independent work. Give your real availability in the form: a few hours, part time or full time.

I live outside Douala, Yaoundé or Buea: does my application count?

Yes. Those are the cities with the strongest demand, but applications from elsewhere in Cameroon are considered. Give your city in the form.

I live abroad: can I take part?

The programme is presented for Cameroon. If you live abroad, write to ambassador@nemateksolutions.com to talk it through. And if you know someone back home who would make a good ambassador, send them this guide.

How can I check that I am really dealing with Nematek?

This programme’s number is +237 695 809 376 and its address ambassador@nemateksolutions.com; every Nematek email address ends in @nemateksolutions.com. The office is at Ndogpassi, opposite Picasso Café, in Douala, open Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00. If you have any doubt about a call or a message, call that number yourself before doing anything else.

Update history

  1. Product table: a reading link removed from the Gestion Commerciale row.
  2. Clarified: commission is on Nematek One products only; Nematek issues the code after the interview and the signed agreement; follow-up is reported in a personal online space.

Only a change of substance moves the update date; a re-read with nothing to change moves only the “Checked” date. Something looks out of date? Tell us.
